  • Hunger Games screening tonight. They broke out the red carpet for this press screening. As for the movie, the pre-event was more entertaining.

Red Dress Gala

Red Dress Gala for my niece’s sorority. Great food. Great people. Nice to see young people bucking the sorority stereotype.

They raised over $12K for heart disease.

  • 8:38am – (Meal 1) – Pre run nutrition. Herbalife24 Prepare and Prolong. Herbalife Niteworks. Half a banana. That Clif Shot is for between mile 2-3.

  • 10 mile run. 8:28 mile per minute average. Burned 1,310 calories. First mile 8:48. Last (and fastest) mile 8:05.

  • 8:11am (Meal 1a) – Portos Apple turnover. Day old from yesterday, but nothing a quick 25 second microwave hit can’t cure.

  • 11:48am (Meal 3) – Hand cut honey oat bread and extra dill sauce. This sandwich shop wins year after year for “best sandwich spot of the year!”

  • 8:23am (Meal 1) – Dropped of my wife at the airport for a quick day trip. Too early and running late to make my regular Herbalife shake. After coming home, classic cereal breakfast.

  • 9:50pm (Meal 5a) – Picked up my wife from the airport and the closet food joint was Red Robin. Haven’t been here in quite some time — they have veggie patties, we have options. Threw a fried egg on top of it. Bottomless sweet potato fries for a buck more … bring it on!

  • 10:40pm (Meal 6) – My wife stopped at the famous Portos Bakery in Los Angeles and grabbed me a cheese roll. That bite was the only bite I took. Wasn’t the best.

  • Dusted off my 24 Hour gym membership this morning.  Free weights and gone in 45 minutes. Nice break from the road.

  • 11:37am (Meal 2) – Quorn Jalapeno Chicken and veggie pasta.

  • 1:16pm (Meal 3) – Breakfast for lunch. Ever since the race, been like a pregnant woman. Lots of sweet cravings. Wondering if I actually depleted a lot of my sugar reserves. Based on MyFitnessPal numbers, I’ll have no problem replenishing the reserves. Bottom line … I eat too many sugar-filled foods, but the very bottom line, oh well. I also enjoy my food and exercise regularly. An easy trade-off!

  • 11:13 (Meal 2) – Tofurkey slice and good ole fashion American Kraft Cheese. Put it in the microwave for 15 seconds and you’ve got a gourmet snack. And oh … that tea-colored drink is Herbalife Herbal Concentrate Tea.

  • Really? I just ran 20 miles yesterday. I’m actually thinking of taking a few days off the road. Did you hear that? That was the sound of my feet and knees letting out a sigh of relief and an even bigger sound of relief from my shoulders.
